The information that an author choses is very important.

 

-The author needs to make sure that they have enough information that they can acheive their purpose.

                 

               On the other hand

 

-The author should not include too much information.  If the author puts in too much extra information, the reader might get bored and stop reading or the reader might not understand what the author is trying to say and the author will not achieve their purpose.
