On a Google doc explain these parts of the story

 

- Who are the characters

 

- Where is the setting

 

-What are the main events of the plot

 

-What words you did not understand in the story and what those words mean

 

-How does this story explain the origin of spiders

2. Watch the movie.

 

3. On your Google Doc create a section titled The Movie answer the following questions:

 

- When you saw the movie was anything different than the way you had visualized the story?

 

- DId watching the movie help you to understand the story?

 

-How woud you have changed the movie if you were making the movie?

Things in Common

 

 The story of Arachne and the Rhino arve very different.  However, they have some things in common.  They are both types of folk tales.

 

Folk tales are fictional stories that

 

-usually have magical or imaginative parts

 

-usually explains where something in nature came from

 

-use parts of the culture they were writtin in in their stories.  (In the story, they include things that are not of the reader's culture but are part of the author's culture)

2. Use the chart to write a paragraph explaining how both Arachne and the Rhino are both folk tales include all three aspects of a folk tale.
