Crafting the Video:
Create an informational video that explains a topic
The Movie
Introduction: Setting it up
1.In your Google Folder create a Google Doc titled Making the movie
2. On the top of your Google Doc rewrite the requirements for the movie:
-must be at least 4 minutes long
-must contain an introduction introducing the topic
-must contain a body explaining the details of the topic
-must contain a conclusion summing up the important details of the topic
-must be interesting and creative
-must be relevant and nontangential
4. On your Google Doc, create a chart that has four row and two columns.
5. Title the first column actor, the second column characters, the third column costumes, and the fourth column action.
Step 1: Actors
1. Choose who will be acting in your movie. Make sure to ask them if they wish to participate
2. In the actor column, write down their name.
3. In the character column write down who or what they will be playing.
Step 2: The Script
Your video is going to have at least three scenes: introudction, main, and conclusion.
1. On your Google Doc Making the Movie, under the chart write down the word Prologue. Under the Prologue, write down what is going to happen in that scene. Make sure to include what each character will be saying and doing
2. On your Google Doc Making the Movie, under the chart write down the word Main. Under the Main, write down what is going to happen in that scene. Make sure to include what each character will be saying and doing
3. On your Google Doc Making the Movie, under the chart write down the word Conclusion. Under the Conclusion, write down what is going to happen in that scene. Make sure to include what each character will be saying and doing.
4. Find your actors and read over the script. See if the script makes sense. Make any corrections that are necessary .
Step 3: Costumes and Setting
1.Chose the setting where you would like to film.
2. Locate any props that you might need for the setting.
3. Locate/make any costume items you will need for each character .
4. In the character column, take notes on what each character is wearing .
Step 4: Filming
1. Get your actors, props, and costumes together.
2. Practice with your actors using the script and all of the resources.
3. When you feel you are ready, then ask your teacher to begin filming.
4. Film your television show.
