Video Evaluation:
Seeing what works and what doesn't in informational videos
Introduction: Setting it up
1. Create a Google Folder titled Informational Video Project
2. Share your Folder with your teachers
3.In your Google Folder create a Google Doc titled Video Research
4. On your Google Doc, create a chart that has six row and four columns.
5. Title the first column channel, the second column information, the third column positives, and the fourth column negatives.
Step 1: How It's made
1. Choose and watch a video on the How It's Made website.
2. Write down the name of the video in the video column of your Google Doc.
3. In the informational column , take notes on what you learned about the topic being presented.
4. In the positive column, take notes on what you saw/heard in the video that you think was useful or interesting for learning the information .
5. In the negative column, take notes on what you saw/heard in the video that you think was not useful or interesting for learning the information or what was missing that should be added to the video.
Step 2: The History Channel
1. Choose and watch a video on the The History Channel website
2. Write down the name of the video in the video column of your Google Doc.
3. In the informational column , take notes on what you learned about the topic being presented.
4. In the positive column, take notes on what you saw/heard in the video that you think was useful or interesting for learning the information .
5. In the negative column, take notes on what you saw/heard in the video that you think was not useful or interesting for learning the information or what was missing that should be added to the video.

1. Choose and watch a video on the The Mystery Busters website
2. Write down the name of the video in the video column of your Google Doc.
3. In the informational column , take notes on what you learned about the topic being presented.
